What is Patriot Assist?
Patriot Assist works with a network of medical doctors nationwide who believe that veterans deserve the very best our country has to offer, including our respect, compassion, and help in any way we can offer it. We help veterans obtain accurate, thorough medical assessments and ensure that each veteran’s unique disability is properly documented. Patriot Assist is not a Veterans Services Organization or law firm and is not affiliated with the Veterans Administration. We are a neutral third party dedicated to veterans just like you.
Can you guarantee I will get an increase?
No. The Veterans Affairs ultimately makes the final decision on all claims submitted. However, if your disabilities warrant an increase and you utilize our service, you have a high probability of success. Patriot Assist cannot make any promises or guarantees.
Does Patriot Assist charge for this service?

How does Patriot Assist differ from a VA appointed doctor?
Patriot Assist is not affiliated with the Veterans Administration. Our medical group is comprised of independent licensed medical providers who understand the claims process. VA-appointed medical providers are contracted by the Veterans Administration. In most cases, they are overloaded with patients and do not give the proper attention to each veteran and their claim. A large majority of veterans who see VA-appointed doctors when filing their claim are unsatisfied with the results, thus resulting in years of refiling and/or a lengthy appeal process.
How does a Patriot Assist network physician differ from a primary care physician?
You have the right to choose whatever licensed medical provider you would like. Our licensed medical providers know the VA disability claim process and understand how to complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires. Most primary care physicians do not have the knowledge to complete a DBQ correctly.
Can I use a VSO to submit my claim?
Yes. Patriot Assist can only assist with the Disability Benefit Questionnaire and medical evaluations. Veterans are required to submit their own claims. This can be done via a Veteran Service Organization, filing electronically on the eBenefits/VA.gov websites or, mailing your claim to the VA.
What areas of the country do you help veterans in?
We help veterans across the country in all 50 states. Additionally, we help many veterans who are working or living overseas. Please contact us directly for more details because our network is expanding all the time.
What if my Intent to File date is expiring soon or I have an upcoming deadline to submit documentation?
We offer an expedited process for those who have an impending deadline they need to meet; contact us ASAP to see if we can help. *Please note, it is not guaranteed that we will be able to meet your deadline, this will depend on certain factors of your claim.
Where do I go to get an update on receiving my completed DBQ’s?

Will I physically bring my Disability Benefit Questionnaires to my physician exam?
No, we will take care of ensuring the doctors have all the paperwork required prior to your appointment.
Will I leave my appointment with Disability Benefit Questionnaires?
No, once your DBQ’s are completed, the doctor will return them to Patriot Assist via a secure, HIPAA compliant portal to undergo a final review. Once the final review is completed, our staff will send the signed documents directly to you.
